We are really starting to prepare for my trip. While I've been taking care of the important things, like which lenses to take and what are the good restaurants in Bangkok. Pat has been doing the necessaries like making sure I have enough underwear and socks. This is a fairly long trip and I don't expect laundry facilities in Bhutan. To help out with this I picked up two packages of http://www.magellans.com/store/Clothing_for_Men___Underwear___SleepwearMU101?Args= . I can probably hand wash them a few times each and then dispose of them. We also took advantage of Macy's sale to load up on white socks. These can be washed. As far as outerwear goes, I'll have to be careful with the local chilli-cheese dish as I can't take too many and don't expect to be anywhere long enough to wash.

The news from Thailand has me a little worried. I have been plotting out a fairly busy schedule of photo ops in Bangkok, which could be impacted by the red shirts blocking streets. I'll be disappointed if all the memories I have of Bangkok are views of and from my hotel room. The important thing is to be able to get in and out of the airport on schedule.
